When teaching higher level reading skills, it is useful for the practitioner to have a thorough understanding of the concepts covered and methods implemented.
A one-day training workshop (9.30-3.30) on the MULTILIT Word Attack Extension Program is available for those who are new to MULTILIT, as well as those familiar with the MULTILIT Reading Tutor Program. Although it is not compulsory to attend training, we would strongly encourage attendance at the workshop to ensure that the program is implemented for the greatest effect.
Currently the workshops are happening in Sydney only, but these will be extended to other cities once there is sufficient demand. If you are unable to attend a workshop in Sydney, please register your interest in attending at another location by contacting the MULTILIT Office (multilit@mutlitlit.com).
The workshop will cover:
- An overview of the program and its methodology
- Essential background knowledge and research base
- Step by step guide to all the interventions and strategies used
- Trouble-shooting
- Additional strategies for Reinforced Reading
There will be an opportunity to practise the interventions through application exercises.
