Teaching for Positive Behaviour Change Community of Practice (30 January to 3 April 2023)

7 February 2023

$720.00

Teaching for Positive Behaviour Change
Community of Practice

In this Community of Practice you are supported to move through the modules and apply your learning over a 10-week period. In addition to weekly reminders, you will have the opportunity to join live webinars.

This combination of eLearning modules provides participants with a consistent approach to the way in which they think and talk about behaviour, across all the tiers of a Response to Intervention approach, and an introduction to a school-wide function-based approach to positive behaviour support.

You will be able to connect with others as you apply concepts of behaviour to critical positive behaviour support practices such as identifying and teaching appropriate replacement behaviour, motivating students to engage in more appropriate behaviour and specific behavioural teaching strategies to teach students functional, safe and effective alternative behaviours at school.

This blended learning experience includes:

Three self-paced online learning modules:

  • Foundations of Behaviour and Function-based Thinking, 3 hrs
  • Replacement Behaviour and Motivation Strategies, 3 hrs
  • Reinforcement Systems and Teaching Strategies, 3 hrs

Weekly announcements to guide the pace of your learning, which will:

  • Provide milestones for completion of sections of the online modules
  • Make recommendations for applied practice of our ready to use downloadable tools and resources
  • Suggest discussion topics to connect with others in your community of practice
