In the ABC News segment, ‘Inside Australia’s ‘fee free’ private schools for disadvantaged children’, broadcast on 14 September 2024, Arethusa College is seen using MacqLit to support literacy intervention for disadvantaged students.
Liam, a Year 7 student at Arethusa College started high school reading at a Year 2 level and is now reading at a Year 5 level.
“I couldn’t text properly, I couldn’t read properly, but now I can,” said Liam.
