As mentioned in The Sydney Morning Herald article, ‘The state’s high-achieving NAPLAN schools for 2024 revealed’, published on 4 December 2024, St Catherine’s School in Waverley is using InitiaLit as a part of an explicit and direct instruction approach to teaching.
“It’s been a systematic approach and calculated in the way we’ve changed our approach over the last three years,” said junior school head Elizabeth Worsley. “All the teachers are doing things similarly, which creates consistency.”
