MultiLit Research Administration – Data Entry

About the Position

 

MultiLit is a leading provider of effective evidence-based instructional programs in Australasia. MultiLit’s work is grounded in extensive research and expertise in the science of how children learn.

This position provides essential support to the MultiLit Research Unit through checking scoring of assessments, entering and verifying data, and maintaining accurate records. This role ensures that research data is reliable, complete and ready for analysis, contributing to the overall quality and integrity of research outcomes across a range of outreach and research trials.

This casual position (up to 3 days) is based in the MultiLit office at Macquarie Park and walking distance from the Macquarie Park metro station.

Relevant training will be provided by MultiLit.

Specific accountabilities

 

The key responsibilities of the position are to:

  1. Check scoring of assessments for accuracy and consistency (can include marking and checking of assessment protocols)
  2. Enter data (e.g., assessment, demographic, instructional information) into research spreadsheets/databases with a high level of attention to detail
  3. Conduct quality assurance checks on entered data as required to identify and correct errors
  4. Follow research protocols for data management procedures and confidentiality
  5. Maintain clear records of scoring and data entry
  6. Liaise with research staff to resolve queries regarding scoring or data inconsistencies

Skills Required

 

MultiLit is an Intellectual Property (IP) intensive organisation and relies on the quality of its research, development and delivery as one of its key sustainable competitive advantages:

  1. A degree (or in progress), preferably in education, psychology, speech pathology or relevant field such as computer science, statistics, information technology etc.
  2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling numerical and written data
  3. Ability to receive and act on feedback on performance
  4. Experience in data entry, record keeping, or administrative support
  5. Ability to follow set procedures and detailed instructions
  6. Good communication, organisational and time management skills
  7. Ability to work in a confidential environment
  8. Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)

Desirable:

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or database systems
  2. Experience working with assessment tools or educational/psychological data
  3. Previous experience in a research or academic environment
