MultiLit recently made a submission to the ACT Literacy and Numeracy Expert Panel.
In this this submission, we outline how high-quality, evidence-based instruction can be easily and effectively embedded into a Response to Intervention framework.
To support more equitable learning outcomes for students, MultiLit recommends evidence-based instruction in ACT government schools. This approach will deliver less variability in the quality of content received by students, as well as alleviate teacher workload by constraining the selection of materials to those that are most likely to be effective.
The submission also recommends prescribing assessments and an assessment protocol that aligns with an RtI framework to inform decisions around students’ learning.
