Dr Gabrielle Brawn

Gabrielle provides leadership and oversight of the research and evaluation activities for MultiLit.  She manages a team of research officers across several Australian states working on various program and research trials.

Gabrielle is a registered and endorsed Clinical Neuropsychologist with extensive experience in assessment and measurement. She worked for 13 years at Sydney Children’s Hospital (SCH) with children experiencing learning difficulties and children undergoing rehabilitation following an acquired brain injury. Her psychology background has equipped her with strong analytical skills and the expertise to transform complex research findings into practical, actionable strategies.

Gabrielle has provided supervision to trainee neuropsychologists and delivered training sessions and guest lectures at Macquarie University, the University of NSW and Charles Sturt University. She regularly presented to teachers about the cognitive impacts of brain injury on students learning at the annual Brain Injury Teacher Education Day. While working as a Clinical Neuropsychologist, Gabrielle completed a Master of Special Education to extend her knowledge regarding evidence-based interventions and supports for children who experience learning difficulties.

Gabrielle has a long history with MultiLit having previously worked as a research officer in the very early years of the research initiative within the Macquarie University Special Education Centre (MUSEC).  While working at SCH, she undertook a research collaboration with MultiLit to instigate the PreLit program in a local Aboriginal community preschool to promote development of early literacy skills for children in preparation for commencing school.
