Following an extensive management career at Macquarie University, working with students in the Macquarie Graduate School of Management and Macquarie International Office, Melenna reskilled as a teacher’s aide, with stints in a government high school (as School Learning Support Officer/Norta Norta Tutor supporting Aboriginal students) and independent primary school (as Learning Enrichment Teacher’s Aide supporting children from Kindergarten to Year 6).

Following use of the MultiLit suite of literacy support programs in primary school, and later the dedicated Literacy Centre at Macquarie Park, Melenna was appointed to a permanent position at MultiLit in 2015.

Melenna enjoys communicating with school leaders, educators, parents, and clinicians throughout the country – meeting many at conferences and keeping in touch via phone calls, email broadcasts and social media channels. Melenna is passionate about literacy and seeing all children reach their potential.
