Wheldall Sentence Comprehension Screener
About WSCS
The WSCS is a screening measure designed to identify young children who may benefit from targeted language comprehension assessment and support. The assessment takes just 5–10 minutes per student to administer, and is designed to be completed in the first half of the Foundation year.
It will also identify children who may benefit from LanguageLift, an oral language intervention program for children in Kindergarten to Year 2. A copy of the WSCS is included with the LanguageLift Kit.
The WSCS is suitable for use by classroom teachers, learning support teachers and other school personnel involved in literacy instruction, as no special qualifications in test administration are required.
