Teachers need evidence-based training if they are to be effective in the classroom

With significant gaps identified between existing Initial Teacher Education programs and the skills and knowledge required to be an effective teacher, he introduces The Academy for the Science of Instruction which will provide courses in effective, evidence-based teaching to upskill already qualified teachers.
