Mopoke Readers are transitional books that have been developed for children as they progress from decodable readers to natural language text.

These books provide general reading practice for children aged 7–9. By this stage, children will have received instruction in the alphabetic code. Mopoke Readers provide further opportunities for children to develop their reading fluency and apply comprehension strategies for fiction and non-fiction texts.

The first series of Mopoke Readers includes 15 fiction titles and 15 non-fiction titles, ideal for students who have completed the InitiaLit Readers series and are ready to take the next step with their reading.
