Mopoke Readers are transitional books that have been developed for children as they progress from decodable readers to natural language text.
The classroom set includes six copies of the full set of 30 titles in the first series of Mopoke Readers (180 books in total). Designed for use in independent or teacher-led reading sessions, home reading and as a supplementary resource for InitiaLit–2 or other reading programs with a systematic synthetic phonics focus.

With short chapters, activities for before and after reading, and vibrant illustrations and photos, Mopoke Readers are suitable for younger, proficient readers, as well as older, struggling readers.
There are five sets of books in Mopoke Readers. Each set contains three fiction and three non-fiction titles. The books are not levelled, but loosely grouped from easier in Set 1 to harder in Set 5, based on vocabulary, inference and content complexity.
