This book provides scaffolded practice in reading words, sentences and connected text aligned with the tricky word and letter-sound correspondences taught in the first half of the year (Lessons 1-77) and is an essential part of the literacy lesson as children work towards fluency.
The InitiaLit–1 Kit comes with 6 Sounds and Words Books A, but schools may wish to purchase an additional copy if a small group has more than 6 students, or if an original copy becomes damaged. Packs of 6 Sounds and Words Books A are also available for purchase.
