Dr Robyn Wheldall

Robyn’s career in the field of education has spanned more than 30 years. Throughout this period, she has been involved in ensuring that vulnerable and disadvantaged learners are offered the best instruction possible to help them fulfil their potential. This has largely focussed on reading instruction and intervention, and classroom behaviour management.
Robyn is committed to evidence-based practice and the scientific method in generating new
knowledge and assessing the efficacy of instructional approaches.
Robyn is a founding director of MultiLit which was spun off from Macquarie University in 2006. She is a company director of MultiLit Pty Ltd and is the Deputy Director of the MultiLit Research Unit (MRU). She continues an Honorary Research Fellow of Macquarie University and is a Member of the Macquarie Centre for Reading.
Prior to her departure from Macquarie University in 2011, she was a Research Fellow at MUSEC (Macquarie University Special Education Centre) where she had also been the Research and Development Manager for many years.
