The MiniLit Sage Kit provides teachers with a comprehensive set of explicit and systematic reading instruction lessons along with all necessary materials to support struggling Year 1 and 2 readers in small groups, within a school setting. The Kit can also be used on a one-to-one basis. The 100 lessons are divided into Part A and Part B, and provide explicit instruction in phonemic awareness, systematic synthetic phonics for reading and spelling, letter formation, and connected text reading. Part A addresses the basic alphabetic code, while Part B covers the advanced alphabetic code. The Kit includes consumable resources required to run one Part A group and one Part B group. Schools will need to purchase additional consumables to run extra groups. Each purchase of the MiniLit Sage Kit includes a copy of the Wheldall Assessment of Reading Nonwords (WARN) Kit and a copy of the Wheldall Assessment of Reading Lists (WARL) Kit. MiniLit Sage is only available for purchase by schools. Training in the program is required prior to implementation.
