Spell-It Kit

The Spell-It Kit provides teachers with a sound knowledge of the English spelling system and the way words are structured, so that they may deliver meaningful spelling instruction to students in Stage 3 and above, tailored to their students’ needs. The Kit includes a Teacher Manual (introducing the spelling methodology of Spell-It and setting out assessment procedures), 2 Handbooks with scaffolded teaching topics and instructions on how to create lessons around these topics, a Student Activity Book with exercises linked to each teaching topic, a Teacher Answer Book, and a My Spelling Dictionary to be used by students to record their own lists of words they are learning to spell, organised by beginning sound. Lessons can be delivered to a whole class or to a small group. Each student in the class or group will need a Student Activity Book. Further copies of the Student Activity Book can be downloaded from the Members’ Area of the MultiLit website. Alternatively, hardbound copies can be purchased. The My Spelling Dictionary, an optional further resource, can also be purchased for each student involved in lessons. Spell-It is only available for purchase by schools. Spell-It Kit is available for purchase only if you have previously purchased SPE1 (Spell-It PD + Kit) or WSPE001 (Spell-It PD only).
