A book containing assessment instructions, an assessment schedule overview, and the Screener and End-of-year final reading check assessment materials for the InitiaLit–2 program (Comprehension and Spelling assessments during the year are incorporated into the whole-class lesson scripts).
These assessments will help teachers identify instructional groups at the beginning of the year and catch chidlren at the end of the year who are still not reading fluently and accurately.
Teachers should use this book in conjunction with the downloadable Class Record Excel spreadsheet provided in the Members’ Area of the MultiLit website. This spreadsheet will automatically flag children who are struggling.
